Biography
Prof. Dr. Sabry Mousa Soliman Youssef, a professor of Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University in Egypt. B.Sc in Horticulture (1992)/Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt; M.Sc in Vegetable Crops (1997)/Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt; M.Sc in Plant Breeding (2005)/International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), Spain; Ph.D in Vegetable Crops (2006)/ Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, and Ph.D. in Sciences, Plant Biology Dept., Málaga Univ., Spain. He obtained a Scholarship for advanced course of plant breeding, Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (IAMZ- CIHEAM), Spain (from 1/7/200 to 18/6/2001), Master scholarship from Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (IAMZ- CIHEAM), Spain (from 1/10/2001 to 1/10/2002), and Doctoral fellowship from Spanish Agency for International Cooperation, Spain (from 1/10/2002 to 1/11/2005) in Plant Physiology Department, Faculty of Sciences, University of Málaga, Spain. In addition, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Murcia University, Murcia, Spain in 2011 for one year and also for 6 months at Polytechnical University of Cartagena, Spain. His areas of interest are biotechnology (Tissue culture, and genetic transformation), physiology, breeding and production of vegetable crops.
