Biography
Dr. Amal Mohamed Eliwa Abdel-Hamid is a Professor of Plant Molecular Genetics and Cytology, a staff member in the Department of Biological and Geological Sciences, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She obtained her M.Sc. in Plant Cytogenetics (2000) and Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Genetics (2004) from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She participated in 9 conferences and about 60 workshops. She has memberships in different scientific societies and act as a member in Asian council of Science Editors, editorial board member in many international journals and reviewer in many international journals like: Ecology and Evolution (Wiley publication), Brazilian journal of Botany, Brazilian journal of Biology, Springer publications. She published 28 research articles in many international journals, one book and three chapters. Her research interests include studies on plant molecular genetics: DNA barcoding, DNA sequencing ,genetic markers, gene expression and conservation of plant genetic resources.
