Professional Profile:

After obtaining his MBBCH with honours from the faculty of medicine at Ain-Shams University, Mr Ali joined the CTS residency program at the department of CTS at Ain-Shams university in 2003. During residency, Mr Ali acquired his basic surgical training as well as his basic CTS training. He finished his master degree of surgery in 2006, passed PLAB and got registered with the GMC the same year. He got promoted as an assistant lecturer of CTS in 2007, where he got exposed to more advanced training, research and education. He passed his MRCS in 2009. To acquire further training in the field, Mr Ali moved to Wales and joined Swansea UHB as a clinical fellow in CTS in 2009. Mr Ali obtained his MD and PH-D from Ain-Shams University in 2011 before succeeding to finish his FRCS (C-Th) from the UK in 2013.
In 2014, Mr Ali returned to Cairo for the position of Lecturer and consultant of CTS at the department of CTS Ain-Shams University. In 2017, Mr Ali got promoted to his current position as Associate Professor of CTS at Ain-Shams University. His role involves clinical work as well as teaching, training, clinical governance, board examinations and research.
