Biography
Sabah Mahmoud Mohamed Hassan was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt on October, 14th 1971. She received Her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees (Genetics) from Ain Shams University in 1993, 1998, and 2004, respectively.
She has worked as an administrator, lecturer assistant, and lecturer in 1993, 1999, and 2004, respectively at the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.
In 2006, she received a scholarship for a post-doctorate position at Montana State University, USA, and continued her research on molecular and developmental neuroscience till 2007.
In 2008, she was partly assigned as a lecturer at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST)
In 2009, she was partly assigned to the Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI).
In 2009, she transitioned to the role of Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.
In 2014, she transitioned to the role of Professor full in the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.
Between 2011-2021, she was seconded to the Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia.
Her research interests rely on her major and specialized fields. Therefore, her published and unpublished research studies focused on molecular genetics in various organisms in general and the impact of various environmental factors, whether vital or physical or chemical on gene expression in particular.
She has published more than 60 research papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, with high impact factors.
