Abstract
Recent advances in musculoskeletal imaging and chemotherapy protocols have markedly changed the rationale of treatment of musculoskeletal neoplasms over the past three decades. The equal rate of survival in patients undergoing limb sparing surgery and those undergoing amputation, and the overall increase in the disease free survival have mandated the introduction of better and more durable reconstructive options.
