Abstract


Chlamydia trachomaفis are obligate intracellular bacterium known to be the etiological agent in a number of diseases affecting adults and children and regarded as a leading cause of sexually transmitted diseases. The present study was performed to ascertain its role in the pathogenesis of chronic prostatitis using the ELISA and PCR techniques.
