Abstract


Intracranial arteriovenous malformations are considered a leading cause for death due to cerebral hemorrhage. Magnificent advent has been achieved concerning the diagnosis and management of intracranial arteriovenous malformations. Microsurgery is still viewed as the base line treatment for these lesions, and radiosurgery deals with a good number of cases specially presurgically and postsurgically.


Embolization is considered a growing technique; its role is increasing with the advances in microcatheters and embolic material.


The aim of this work is to study the role of embolization technique in the management of intracranial arteriovenous malformations.
