Abstract
This study was done on 800 hypertensive patients. liEF was used to evaluate EF of the patients. Results were classified into normal EF, mild, moderate and severe ED. The prevalence of ED was
47%. There was highly statistically significant correlation with age, diabetes, smoking, myocardial ischemia, cholesterol, hyperlipedemia and stage of blood pressure. No statistically
significant correlation with the type or number of antihypertensive
