Abstract
The studied rocks (Cambrian and Carboniferous) are exposed in three sedimentary successions: Um-Bogma succession (Um-Bogma area) and Abu-Durba and Naqus successions (Wadi Feiran-El Tor area). They are located along the eastern side of the Suez Gulf between latitudes 28° 20',
29° 10' and longitudes 33° 10', 33° 35'. Both basement and sedimentary rocks are exposed and developed as elongated ridges parallel to the Gulf of Suez trend (NW-SE).
