Design and implementation of Ultra Wide Band Transmitter

Saleh Mohamed Eisa;

Abstract

Ultra wideband(UWB) communications are characterized by transmittingshort duration pulses that occupy a wide frequency range with low power consumption. The wide band is attractive for high speed and short distance communications. On the other hand the low power consumption attracts low speed andlong distance applications such as wireless sensor networks (WSN) and radio frequency identification (RFID). The use of non- coherent signaling simplify the design of the UWB communication system and offers additional energy saving.
