Abstract
Compressed Sulphur Hexaflouride (SF6) gas is being widely used as an insulating medium for many applications in gas insulated systems including cables, transmission systems, circuit breakers, current transformers, high voltage test transformers and other high voltage apparatus and equipment. The construction of high voltage systems usually incorporates solid dielectric spacer for supporting the high voltage conductor.
