Tissue Adhesive (2-OCTYL CYANOACRYLATE)VS SUTURES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF WOUNDS

Abstract
The study included the evaluation of the results of closure of wounds of60 patients using 3 different techniques. The patients' ages vary from 15 to 60 years. 42 of them are males and 18 are females.
They were divided into 3 groups:
*The first are closed by sutures which are removed after 36 hours and a tissue and adhesive is applied.
*The second are closed by a tissue adhesive only.
*The third are closed by sutures only.
Results were evaluated regarding postoperative pain, infection, dehiscence. quality of scar, patient satisfaction and average cost of materials used in each group.
