PROBLEMS OF MAGNETO- AND THERMOMAGNETOELASTICITY FOR INFINITE, CIRCULAR CYLINDRICAL BODIES

Ibrahim Atiatallah Abdel-Rhman Abbas;

Abstract

The aim of this thesis, which consists of four chapters, is to study some problems of magneto- and thermo-magnetoelasticity for infmite, circular cylindrical bodies. In the first chapter, we investigate the magnetoelastic longitudinal wave propagation in a transversely isotropic circular cylin der. The second• chapter, we investigate the flexural waves propagation in a transversely isotropic hollow circular cylinder placed in a magnetic field. The third chapter, we investigate the effects of non-homogeneity on the stresses in a composite cylindrical shell placed in a magnetic field. The fourth chapter, we investigate a problem of generalized magneto thermoelasticity for an infinitely long, perfectly conducting cylinder.
