SINGLE PHOTON EMISSION COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY (SPECT) STUDY IN PARKINSONISM
Asmaa Mohamed Ibrahim;
Abstract
This study was conducted on 23 Egyptian parkinsonian patients with a mean age 55.6 ± 12.8 years. Patients were subjected to thorough clinical assessment, UPDRS, P 300 and
99mTch-HMPAO SPECT study of the brain.
The clinical and P300 findings were correlated to the regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) measured by SPECT and statistically significant correlation was found between (rCBF) and both the UPDRS score and the reaction time.
99mTch-HMPAO SPECT study of the brain.
The clinical and P300 findings were correlated to the regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) measured by SPECT and statistically significant correlation was found between (rCBF) and both the UPDRS score and the reaction time.
