CLINICO PATHOLOGICAL STUDY OF EPIBULBAR MASSES

Abstract
100 patients presenting with epibulbar lesions were submitted to clinical examination ofThe epibulbar lesions. 71% of the patients were males and 29% of the patients were females. The right eye was involved in 47% of patients and the left eye was involved in 53%.
Total age range was (31±18.9), males age range was (35.6±18.6), and female age range was (15.9±15.9). On clinical examination of the epibulbar lesions provisional clinical diagnosis was reached in (92%) of lesions, but no definite diagnosis was approved in (8%) of the l esions.
All 100 epibulbar lesions were Histopathologically examined.
53% of the lesions clinical diagnosis as confirmed by pathological examination, and 47% of the lesions diagnosed onl y with pathological examination.
The histopathologic exam_ination of excised and sampled epibulbar !esions showed that they represent 28 benign neoplastic lesions, 25 malignant neoplastic l esions, and 47 non neoplastic lesions.
