Abdullah A. M. H. Gharamah;
Abstract
In this study 115 cases of keratitis and 31 cases•of endophthalmitis were examined both epidemiologically and microbiologically. Air born bacteria and fungi were also studied in the atmosphere of four air-conditioned operating rooms of Ophthalmology Department at Assiut University Hospitals. Some physiological characteristics of bacterial and fungal isolates from keratitis and endophthalrnitis cases (such producing capabilities of enzymes and toxins) were studied. The in vitro sensitivity of some fungal isolates to some antifungal therapeutic agents was also considered.
