In this thesis we define and study the concept of x
star for subsets in space forms (Euclidean space E",
Hyperbolic space H", and sphere S"). Some results on the relation between stars and starshaped sets are established
together with illuminating examples. Other concepts such as types of crossing are considered in Euclidean space E".
