"Production and Characterization of Nanomaterials Based on ZnO for Environmental and Biomedical Applications”
Saad Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Asal;
Abstract
Nanotechnology is a fast emerging future’s technology, where the nanosized materials have attracted growing interest as a result of their unique structure and properties. Among many applications of nanotechnology that have environmental implications, owing to their outstanding properties, is the nanostructured semiconductors have comprehensive applications in the green chemistry areas such as wastewater treatment and self-cleaning surfaces.
Lanthanide doped zinc oxide nanoparticles have shown great potential application in different field such as photoluminescence devise and energy. However, their potential application for real wastewater remediation, disinfector agent and in vivo therapeutic agent against cancer cell (colony cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG-2) cell line) and their toxicity are largely unexplored.
This thesis aims to production of low toxic nanomaterials based on Ln3+-ZnO and Ln(OH)3: ZnO (Ln3+ = Sm3+, Eu3+ an
