EFFICIENT COMPLEXITY REDUCTION APPROACHES FOR HIERARCHICAL SOFTWARE PERFORMANCE MODELS
Fatouh Ahmed Lotfy Mohamed Ghoraieb;
Abstract
Hierarchical performance model (HPM) is essentially used to model the performance of parallel/distributed systems in order to develop performance oriented software effectively. However, the output symbolic performance expressions from HPM usually have a seriously large number of terms and parameter variables (called its complexity). In order to make the HPM approach more practical, the complexity of the obtained performance expressions has to be reduced within an acceptable accuracy limit.
