Abstract


"Simple, specific, selective, rapid and robust NMR methods for the determination of levofloxacin, rifampicin, miconazole, metronidazole and sulfamethoxazole antibiotics were developed. Quantification was achieved with reference to maleic acid and sodium maleate internal standards. The effects of temperature and pH were evaluated. Student; t-test applied for the individual drugs as well as their admixtures in authentic, pharmaceutical, plasma and urine samples indicated insi ificant differences between the real and measured values at the 95% c;onfidence level. F-test revealed insignificant difference in precisions between the developed NMR methods and the reported methods for analyzing the studied drugs. Specificity, intraday and inter-day precision and accuracy were studied. Signals of no interference, low relative standard deviations and errors revealed excellent specificity, high repeatability and accuracy for either individual or mixed drugs."
