Biotechnological studies on potato ( Solanum tuberosum L.) plants

Abstract
The experiments were carried out during the period ti•om 2002 to 2005 m Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research institute (GEBRI) laboratories: Menoufiya University, Sadat City and also 111 Plant biotechnology lab., Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University.
. The research was concernmg potato (Solanum tuberosum L), cv. Lady
Rosetta.
The purpose of this study is:-
1- Production of virus-free potato plantlets.
II- Study the effect of virazole on DNA, protein and some isozymes activity in potato tissues.
III- Adjustment oftransfonnation conditions in potato.
