Evaluation of the Nutritional status of workers in some Factories of Kafr El Zaiyat

Abstract


This work was carried out on 120 mate workers chosen randomly from two factories of Kafr El zaiyat city. This work aimed to evaluate the dietary intake of factory workers and assess the relation of anthropometric •measurements with the nutritional status.

The data were collected from two different type of factories according to different socio -economic levels

1- K.Z factory ffactory BJ.


2- Maliya factory ffactory AJ.


Nutritional status of workers was determined according to dietary intake compared with R.D.A, Also Anthropometric measurements were compared with the ideal.

First: socio economic variables:


Socia economic data was collected including age, family size, education level of each worker and rmother or wife J, income, smoking habits, working hours, addition work

Results revealed that


The majority of workers in both factories were married 100% and

78.8% respectively.
