Abstract


Recurrent first trimesteric abortion is defined as occurance of three or more clinically recognizable losses consecutively and spontaneously before 12 weeks gestation. Unexplained recurrent first trimesteric abortion which represents 50% is diagnosed by exculsion of causes of recurrent first trimesteric abortion which includes anti phospholipid syndrome, chromosomal abnormalities,...etc. Evaluation of recurrent first trimesteric abortion includes careful history taking, physical examination and investigations as ultrasound, antiphospholipid antibodies. Treatment includes psychological support, leukocyte immunization, immunoregulatory therapies and immunoglobulin
