STUDIES ON THE BACTERIAL PATHOGENS OF FRESH WATER PRAWN

Abstract
The present study was planned to investigate the most common bacterail diseases (Black Spot Disease, Vibriosis, Midcycle Larval Disease and Mixed infected cases) affecting fresh water prawn (M. rosenbergii) adults and larvae which collectd from the ponds of Central Lab. for Aquaculture Research, Abbassa, Sharkia Governorate and from Saft Khaled hatchery. Behera Governorate.
It was designed to include the following :
!-Clinical and postmortem studies of naturally infected prawn (M.
rosenbergii) and larvae
2-Isolation and identification of pathogenic bacteria .
3-Physico-chemical analysis and bacteriological examination of tanks water holding larvae and ponds water holding adult prawns .
4-Pathogenicity of isolated pathogens .
5-Histopathological studies of naturally and experimentaly affected prawn' and larvae.
It was designed to include the following :
