Abstract


 Heart failure is one of the challenging diseases with huge social and economic burden, with MI being a major cause for HF.
 Ventricular remodelling start within few hours after MI and continue for months causing the late symptoms of CHF.
 Dolly and colleagues imaging of ventricular aneurysms raise the interest in surgical repair.
 The modified Dor procedure is the most popular technique for SVR usually associated with complete revascularization and valve repair if requried.
 IMR is a common associated disease its presence increase morbidity and mortality, Its repair add operative risk. How and when to repair it still a debatable point.
 The results of SVR is promising when done properly and in the right patient population.
 The STICH trial results are questionable due to several flaws in the methodology.
