SOME ASPECTS OF GOVERNMENT AND BINDING IN ENGLISH AND CAIRENE COLLOQUIAL ARABIC (CCA) A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract
One of the objectives of this work is to present a
descriptively adequate statement about the grammar of
some shared constructions tn English and Cairene
Colloquial Arabic (CCA) within the framework of GB .
In this thesis attempts were made to apply the GB
theory to structures from both English and CCA .
Throughout the chapters, I have attempted to give
an account of the similarities and differences between
English and CCA within the areas that are the subject of
this study, namely, Government and Binding theory. A
summary of the findings of the research is in order .
