Abstract


Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is now the most common type of cardiac surgery and may have lower rates of complication than valve surgery. Common complication of non compliancepost operative cardiac surgery patient are associated with increased morbidity, mortality, and a longer hospital stay and can be distressing for patients, their families, and nursing staff. Recognizing those at risk can reduce the impact through interventions and risk reduction. Understanding the frequency of the complications associated with it can help guide future research and resource allocation (Nichols, et al., 2014).
Aim of Study
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of patients' compliance with hospital discharge plan on their health after undergoing cardiac surgery through:
- Assessing patients and their caregiver's knowledge about cardiac surgery care post hospital discharge.
- Identifying patient's performance regarding hospital discharge plan.
- Evaluating cardiac surgery patient's health condition three months post discharge form hospital.
