Abstract


Brain protection is an important target for the anaesthesiologist during cardiac surgery . Thus , it is an important issue to understand brain circulation , its physiology, sequelae of brain ischemia and how to prevent these sequelae or decrease its effect by good preoperative assessment of the patient's condition , identifying the risk factors, and modifying the surgical and anaesthetic techniques accordingly.
