TIU cases of this category were found to be 80% males and 20% females, with relation to obesity (65% of cases). The pain v<as of characteristic features, beginning as intermittent claudications, and passing gradually and slowly to rest pain, as the arterial insufficiency in the leg became more severe.

The managerne11t was either conservative or surgical.
