A globalize economy demands standardized products and services including education, technical infrastmcture, and sophisticated communication systems.
Education .and the ability to learn have been recognized as essential attributes to success. even survival. in the globalize world.
The emergence of regional trade and other international agreements ensures that international education is high on the agenda of national politicians and
international organizations.
The in1pact of the rapid growth of international education is felt at institutional, national and international levels, and these are inter-related.
For example. universities need quality international students to grow their reputation; researches are necessary at the national level to contribute to the country's research and innovation.
Similarly teaching and other international institutional links can provide vital access to nev... ideas.
Frequently such collaboration is a first step towards joint delivery of programs and the award of qualifications.
Cases of best practice can be used as inputs to develop policies and to develop subsequent educational administration programs. TI1ey can also be used as a basis for assisting a particular private higher education institution to create. implement and monitor their programs based on the principles identified in the best pmctice
