Abstract


Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (Linneaus) is one of the most important freshwater finfish in aquaculture. 0. niloticus is locally known as "Nile Bolti" or "Nile Tilapia" and is so far one of the most important cultured species as food fish in Egypt in pond culture or via other methods of fish farming.
