Synthesis and Studies of Some Heterocyclic Compounds

Abstract

The reactivity of cyanoacetohydrazide derivative 2 twoard some selected arylidenemalononitrile 1,_,, arylidenethylcyanoacetate l]_,_, and arylidenethioacetamide derivatives 17•-b have been examined. The reactivity of 2 toward acetylaceton, ethylacetoacetate and benzoylacetate have been studied as welL Thus it has been found that 2 reacted with 1,_, to afford products of addition formulated as lQo-o through the intermediacy of ll_. elemental analysis.
