TUBULARIZED, INCISED PLATE URETHROPLASTY FOR DISTAL HYPOPSPADIAS REPAIR

Abstract
Purpose: A new technique is described for correction of distal hypospadias with minimal technique by tubularizing the incised urethral plate, without the need of additional skin flaps.
Material&Methods: from September 1998 to May 1999 the technique was performed in 30 patients (23 primary;
7reoperative). The patient age at the repair ranged from 15 months to 12 years.
Results: excellent functional and cosmetic results were achieved in all but two cases developed fistula and one case had repair dehesence.
Conclusion: tubularized incised plate urethroplasty can be performed in tnost cases of distal hypospadias.
