Abstract
The thesis IS prefaced by a comprehensive literature survey generally on the biological activities of 1,3,4-oxadiazole nucleus and pmticularly on the anticancer and antimicrobial activities. Also the anticancer activity of metal complexes has been discussed.
The strategy of our work was concerned with design, synthesis and testing of a novel series of 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives as anticancer and antimicrobial agents.
