Antibiotic Loaded Calcium Sulfate Beads in the Management of Orthopaedic Infections: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

Infections are a challenging condition greatly affecting the patient morbidity and even mortality, a lot of treatment modalities is used to combat infection , one of them is antibiotic loaded calcium sulfate beads , this systematic review of English literature was done to assess efficacy of antibiotic loaded calcium sulfate beads and report complications by analyzing the results through the study of case series of eight different research groups where 706 cases was studied and complication was analyzed and functional outcomes reported.
