ANAESTHESIA FOR THE PATIENT WITH REACTIVE AIRWAY DIRWAY DISEASEJ
Dina Mohamed Sayed Ahmed;
Abstract
Reactive airway disease essentially denotes airway hyperresponsiveness or an exaggerated response to constrictor agonists. In patients with reactive airway disease, airway narrowing or bronchospasm occurs more severely than in.normal patients and is more easily provoked by a lower level stimulus. Airway hyperreactivity does not only denote the asthmatic patient but also includes patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, allergic rhinitis and upper and lower respiratory tract infections
