All children were subjected to a general medical examination, anthropometric measure (weight -length), sex maturity ratings score full psychiatric examination, Eysenck personality test, self-concept scale, finally picture intelligence
test.
The age of children ranged from 14- 18 years old, with a mean of 17.9 years in substance abusers and 16.6 years in non substance abusers with male predominance in both groups.
Our study showed that most of working children in both groups were under weight for age and short for age and needed follow up were 52% of substance abusers were under the 5th percentile compared to 38% of non substance abusers as
