Abstract


Cancer bladder constitute the predominant types of cancer especially in Egypt 25 : 28% (of all cancer) because of spreading of bilharziasis .
This study constitute 50 cases of Cancer bladder related or not related to Bilharziasis and 5 cases of normal bladder . We use Image analyzer (Morphometry) to study the relation ship between surface area percent of collagen in both types of cancer related or not related to bilharzia and the effect of histological type of tumor , grade and depth of infiltration to the surface area percent of collagen which consequently affect of the accuracy of diagnosis and strategy of medical treatment .
the resultsrevealed that there is a significant increase in percent of collagen in Bilharzia! cancer bladder patients than patients without a history of bilharziasis and also patients without a history of bilharzia grade (I-II) . have a higher percent of collagen than grade III . There is no a significant difference in collagen percent and type of tumor or its infiltration in both types of cancer bladder.
