Abstract
Home care is just beginning to receive attention and addresses a number of issues that can affect the overall health of the patient including social, psychological, environmental and economical issues. For example, home care hurses provide health teaching, which better ensures compliance with a medication and treatment regimen, reducing complications.
These interventions can assist the patient in reducing physician visits and emergency room stays (Kelly, I 994).
