Within the last decade the femtosecond laser has replaced the manual microkeratome for cutting of the lasik flap surgical extraction of the refractive lenticule or RELEX has evolved as anew treatment in the field of keratorefractive surgery depending on the method of extraction of the lenticular RELEX is divided into RELEX flex and RELEX smile .
