Abstract
Free muscle flap can be used in treatment of soft tissue defect after trauma, excision of adherent
•scare on weight bearing area, in treatment of chronic osteomylitis and as a function unit in cases of Volkman's contracture
Many muscles used as Latismuss dorsi, gracilis, rectus abdominus and serratus anterior
The criteria of success are: proper selection of patient, proper selection of recipient vessels, proper
time of operation
Complication: infection and Thrombosis.
