Preliminary Study of Parasitic Infections among New Cities Residents

Abstract
A total of 580 individuals of different age and six from 6th of October and I Oth of Ramadan cities were examined. Urine, stool samples were collected and blood films fm• eosinophilia were made from each individual. The overall prevalence of parasitic infections were
17.93% and 11.03% among 6th of October and IOth of
Ramadan cities residents respectively.
Parasitic infections were more prevalent among primary school age and slightly higher in males. Social standards were shown to have significant impact on prevalence of pat•asitic infections, which more prevalent in low social class groups in both cities, eosinophilia were reported in 3..85% and 6.25% infected cases with parasites in both 6th of October and lOth of Ramadan cities respectively.
