MECHANIZATION OF LUPINS CROP PRODUCTION UNDER EGYPTIAN CONDITION

ASHOOR EL-SHAHAT MOHAMED;

Abstract

The main experiments were carried out at Abo-Hamad. Skarkia Governorate

I to investigate some different mechanization systems for producing Lupinus crop under Egyptian conditions.
l The Objectives of the investigation are :
l 1- Selecting the proper planting method to produce the optimum yield.
l 2- Selecting the proper harvesting method-in respect to the least seed losses.
3- Optimizing both seed moisture content machine forward speed and cutting
l heights for harvesting lupinus to minimize grain losses.
} 4- Optimizing both seed moisture content and clyinder speed for threshing lupinus to maximize threshing efficiency.
] An area of about 3 feddans of lupinus (Giza 1) variety was divided into 27

equal plots having dimensions of 5 x 95 per each.
1
The different mechanical treatments were :

J A : Manual planting, manual harvesting and threshing by threshing machine.

B : Manual planting, mechanical harvesting (tractor + mounted mower) and

.1 threshing machine.
