Tertiary Treatment of Domestic Wastewater by Filtration
Alaa Omar Lotfy;
Abstract
Water shortage, deterioration of water quality, and environmental construing, have led to an increased interest in reuse of treated wastewater in many country of the ARAB world.
Most municipal wastewater treatment plants are using biological processes, also known as secondary treatment. Under many circumstance the effluent quality obtained by the treatment is inadequate for reuse in agriculture. Three different filtration techniques using sand and granular activated carbon filters have been investigated in the present work. Therefore the experimental work has been divided into three parts.
