EARLY DETECTION OF DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY IN TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract
This study was conducted on eighty non obese patients with uncontrolled NIDDM and without hypertension or retinopathy. They were negative for macroalbuminuria in random urine samples by the ordinary quantitative urinary strips, and according to the level of microalbuminuria were classified into either normoalbuminuric patients (0-19 mg/L) or microalbuminuric (20-200 mg/L).
