Abstract
Leukaemia is the most common type of childhood cancer. ALL is accounting for almost more than 80 percent of cases_ It is a big problem in the field of paediatric oncology as about 40 percent of childhood cancer deaths occur in patients with acute leukaemia _
There is a dramatic improvement in outlook for children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia_ This improvement has been associated with the marked advances in the understanding of haematopoiesis and lymphopoiesis.
It is very important to understand the normal haematopoiesis to verify the different types of ALL Also, despite it is out of the scope of this essay, the improvement in the understanding of haematopoiesis and lymphopoiesis was associated with the discovery of many human haematopoietic growth factors with their different clinical uses_
