Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during winter seasons of 2002/ 2003 and 2003/2004 at The Experimental Research Station of The Agriculture Research Center, El-Arish, North Sinai. The main object of this research was to study the effect of different types of fertilizers; i.e. organic manure sources and two biofertilizers (phosphate dissolving bacteria "PDB" and nitrogen fixing
bacteria "NFB") on growth and yield of tomato plants (local hybrid "Assail").

...

Treatments were randomly arranged in a split- split plot design with three replications. Organic manure sources were randomly arranged in the main plots, PDB were randomly arranged in the sub plots, and NFB treatments were randomly allowed for sub-sub plots. Plants were grown in the end of the winter season tmder low plastic tunnels and sandy soil condition using drip-irrigation system. The obtained results could be summarized as follows
