:Necrotizing Pasciitis

Abstract
Necrotizing fasciitis is potentially fatal, progressive soft tissue infection. Usually polymicrobial, characterized by necrosis of fascia and subcutaneous tissue, vascular thrombosis and extreme systemic toxicity .It frequently involves the groin, abdomen and extremites. Individuals in whom the disease develops are commonly diabetic, malnourished, or otherwise immunocompromized.
The aim of this work is to review the subject of necrotizing fasciitis with spotlight on etiology and pathogenesis of the disease and different diagnostic modalities and management.
