Behavioral Problems of the Preschool and School Age Children: A Comparative Study
Mariam Aziz Mena;
Abstract
Children with behaviour problems are at risk for a variety of future difficulties including conduct disorders, learning problems, neuropsychological deficits, and other problems. The link between family functioning and children’s development has been well-established. Family factors play a role in helping children with behavioural problems to outgrow their difficulties (Breaux, 2013).
Nurses, health visitors and midwives work across a range of settings, and are one of the largest groups of health care professionals who come into contact with children and young people. They are in the right place to promote the psychological and emotional well-being of children and families and to prevent the development of mental health problems by being aware of the factors that can put children in risk) Rubin, 2010).
