Abstract
The mild to moderate anemia that is often observed in patient with chronic diseases persist for more than 1 or 2 months is called the anemia of chronic diseases.
The characteristic feature of this syndrome is the
occurance of hypoferremia in the presence of ample

reticuloendothelial iron stores.
The aim of this work to study the etiology, pathogenesis and management of this syndrome.
